Doxorubicin Hydrochloride is a cytotoxic anthracycline antibiotic isolated from cultures of the fungus Streptomyces peucetiusvar. caesius. The most common uses of doxorubicin in cancer therapy is for various types of testicular cancer, leukemia, Ewing’s sarcoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and Kaposi’s sarcoma [1]. Doxorubicin has been shown to have mutagenic and carcinogenic properties in experimental models. |
